Ravens officially place CB Maurice Canady on IR Cheap Justin Tucker Jersey , re-sign LB Albert McClellan The Baltimore Ravens have made another roster move on Monday as they have placed cornerback Maurice Canady on injured reserve while re-signing veteran linebacker Albert McClellan. Bringing back McClellan was an expected move as it was reported earlier on Monday, but placing Canady on injured reserve is a surprise. He initially suffered a ‘minor strain’ in a joint practice with the Colts during the preseason and sat out the remainder of the preseason.Canady then returned for week one of the regular season as Baltimore defeated the Bills 47-3, but he reinjured his hamstring. After Thursday night’s game against the Bengals, the Ravens needed help at the inside linebacker position due to C.J. Mosley’s injury. With the cornerback position loaded with talent, the Ravens can seemingly survive without Canady for an extended period considering Jimmy Smith is scheduled to return in two weeks. Head coach John Harbaugh stated during his press conference that Canady’s injury is not season-ending, which means that he will be a candidate to be one of two IR-designated to return spots. Kenneth Dixon is also a candidate for that designation as well. McClellan will bring leadership to a position that is now lacking a veteran presence. The most experienced player i n that position group is Patrick Onwuasor, who is playing his third year in the NFL. Mosley’s injury is not considered long-term, but this move could indicate he will miss a couple of games.Ravens vs. Rams preseason Week one: Who’s playing, who’s not The Baltimore Ravens are set to host the Los Angeles Rams in Week one of the preseason. Since it is the preseason, teams are not required to release an official inactive list. Below is the unofficial inactive list. At this point, Kenneth Dixon, Quincy Adejoyejo, Randin Crecelius Youth Brandon Carr Jersey , Marshal Yanda, Maurquice Shakir, Maxx Williams, Darren Waller, Tim White, Tony Jefferson, Tyus Bowser, Bam Bradley, Jaylen Hill, and Bennett Jackson appear to be the only inactives for the Ravens. As expected, wide receiver and return specialist Tim White will not play in tonight’s game. He has missed every practice following the Hall of Fame Game with an undisclosed injury. White’s absence will open up opportunities for Jordan Lasley and Janarion Grant to get more reps returning kicks and punts. There were no changes to the PUP list, which means that Jaylen Hill, Quincy Adejoyejo Cheap Marlon Humphrey Jersey , and Bam Bradley will not play. Randin Crecelius and Maurquice Shakir both received extended playing time in the Hall of Fame Game, but neither player has practiced this week. They are both dealing with undisclosed injuries that head coach John Harbaugh has claimed are ‘not serious’.Starting safety Tony Jefferson is dealing with a ‘pull’ that is not expected to keep him on the sideline for an extended period of time, but the Ravens are exercising caution with their high-profile free agent signing from a year ago. Despite passing his physical and practicing for the first time this week, Marshal Yanda will not play against the Rams. This was expected as Harbaugh announced that he would not play during his press conference earlier in the week. Running back Kenneth Dixon, who appeared to be playing tonight, is not expected to play. With Dixon out, the three undrafted free agent running backs, Gus Edwards, Mark Thompson, and De’Lance Turner, will get another game with extended reps. Tight end Maxx Williams, who suffered an ankle injury during practice on Tuesday, will not play tonight. He is considered to be on the roster bubble , and he desperately needs to put together a solid preseason to earn a spot on the final 53-man roster. Unfortunately, Williams will have one less preseason game to prove himself. Another player on the roster bubble, Bennett Jackson, is also not playing tonight after he had an impressive showing in the Hall of Fame Game. Linebacker Tyus Bowser returned to practice this week, but he is also missing tonight’s game against the Rams. Recently reinstated tight end Darren Waller, who did not practice on Tuesday, is also sitting out. He was not expected to play, but he could be a practice squad candidate if he has a good showing in the preseason. As for the Rams, only two starters are expected to play tonight: Jamon Brown and Samson Ebukam.

The Carolina Panthers have endured two tough tests in the beginning weeks of their 2018 campaign. While the Panthers’ offense was able to do just enough to keep the team afloat Cheap Greg Olsen Jersey , Carolina fell to the Falcons 31-24 for their first loss of the season. The Panthers’ offense is still adjusting to life after Greg Olsen’s foot injury. Despite the loss, Cam Newton looked solid with a 71.1% pass completion and was able to test things out as he looks for a new safety target.Things won’t get any easier for the Panthers as they take on an undefeated (2-0) Bengals team. The Bengals are coming off a 34-23 win over the Ravens. The Bengals have tallied a total of 68 points in their first games of the season—the second highest point total after the first two games of a season in team history. The Bengals also have a defense to compliment their offense. Their defense may be young, but they’re able to create turnovers in critical moments. Here are the four keys for the Panthers’ offense to defeat the Bengals’ defense:Take Pressure off Newton: It’s tiresome to say, but the injuries on the offensive line is still a huge factor to how the offense is playing. So far, the offensive line has lacked in keeping Newton protected. In a matter of two games, Newton has already been sacked a total of five times (although two of those sacks can be attributed to other factors). The Bengals defense has tallied six sacks, including 4 in their last match-up against the Ravens. Defensive tackle Geno Atkins is one of the best in his position. He’s quick at getting to the quarterback, totaling nine tackles and three sacks so far. It’s critical to keep Newton away from one of the most disruptive interior defenders in the league. Carlos Dunlap will be another force to be reckoned with. Between he and Atkins, they have combined for nine quarterback hits so far. Prevent Turnovers: The Bengals have a young defense, but they play like veterans. Cincinnati is tied for No. 2 in the league in turnover margin. They have forced five turnovers—including a scoop and score fumble recovery touchdown that won the game against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 1. Of those five turnovers, four of them have resulted in setting up points for the Bengals.Although the Panthers have been fairly good at not turning over the ball (one fumble, one interception), it’ll be key to not allow any mishaps against a team that’s able to capitalize on turnovers.Key in on Christian McCaffrey: Without Olsen, it was clear that McCaffrey was Newton’s safety net against the Falcons. McCaffrey led the team with 14 catches and 102 yards. With defenders like Atkins, Dunlap, and Jordan Evans, a run game may not be realistic. But the Panthers can utilize McCaffrey in quick passes to keep the momentum going. Get a pass game going: The Bengals’ defense has allowed 836 total offensive yards—695 of those coming through the air. The Panthers’ receiving corps hasn’t been the most efficient on catching passes , but this is the week to get a pass game going. Last week, D.J. Moore scored his first touchdown— a 51-yard catch and run that showed off his amazing skills in space—on his first NFL reception against the Falcons.Devin Funchess was strong in Olsen’s absence bringing in seven of nine targets for 77 yards. The potential for a strong passing game is there. Ultimately, this game will come down to Panthers being able to control ball. The Bengals will come fast and hard. It’s key to give Newton time in the pocket and limit the turnovers. D.J. Moore has a running joke with Curtis Samuel before every game about which of the young Panthers receivers is "going to go off" that day.Recently it's been one or the other with a big game 鈥?and sometimes both. The two versatile and dangerous speedsters 鈥?Moore is a rookie, while Samuel is in his second season and essentially a rookie as well after an injury-plagued 2017 鈥?still have plenty to learn in Norv Turner's offensive system, but their skillset and big-play ability is making the Panthers (6-2) more unpredictable and difficult to defend.Coach Ron Rivera said Samuel and Moore have brought a "different dimension" to a Carolina offense that has erupted for 99 points in the last nine quarters. Both are tough to catch, let alone tackle with the ball in their hands in the open field. So Turner is doing everything he can to get the ball in their hands, not just as receivers, but as rushers, too. Together Samuel and Moore have run 10 times for 159 yards with two touchdowns on reverses or double reverses. They also have 27 catches for 403 yards and three TDs receiving entering Thursday night's game at Pittsburgh."When they're focused, there are no young players that I wouldn't put those guys up against in this league because they have the physicality, the playmaking ability, and the want-to," quarterback Cam Newton said of the team's young dynamic duo.On Sunday, it was Samuel who had the bigger impact.Despite playing only 17 plays, he scored on a 33-yard double reverse, a play in which he reversed field and covered 103 yards on the ground according to the NFL's NextGen Stats. Later, he made a leaping 19-yard touchdown catch in the end zone with a defender draped all over him to help seal Carolina's 42-28 win over Tampa Bay ."He is just explosive and he is a dynamic playmaker Graham Gano Jersey ," Rivera said of Samuel. "A lot like in the mold of D.J., he is tough to bring down. ... We have a couple of young guys who can be explosive."Moore played 53 snaps and chipped in with a 32-yard run and a 16-yard reception vs. the Bucs, one week after posting a career-best 129 yards from scrimmage in a 36-21 win over Baltimore.Samuel is finally healthy after missing the first three games of this season with a heart issue and most of last season with a broken ankle."It's amazing after what happened last year," Samuel said of his production. "To go down unexpectedly and to fight through the offseason and preparing myself to get back from my ankle injury, and to come back and finally be out there to make plays and contribute to the team, it's amazing."Tight end Greg Olsen, who has been with the team since 2011, said the Panthers have never had this many offensive players that can tear off big gains with the ball in their hands. He said Samuel and Moore are making a difference. But Rivera is quick to point out the duo hasn't arrived just yet. They're still making too many "mental errors" for his liking."You see some of the mistakes they make on tape and you see certain things in terms of their route running, their alignments and their assignments," Rivera said.Newton joked it may be time to bring a "paddle" into the huddle with Moore's name (Deniston) on one side and Samuel's nickname (Cupid) on the other to "keep them focused.""If they don't focus, they'll let an opportunity like we had slip away," Newton said. "They have to understand where their alignment is, what their assignment is. We ask a lot from those guys and for them to be so young and dynamic they have to be able to digest the things that we're throwing at them."Rivera would like them to eliminate those mistakes before Carolina's crucial final three-game stretch of the season, which includes two games against the NFC South leading Saints (7-1)."They are learning and growing and their ceiling is high, so the potential for them to be better is exciting," Rivera said. "Hopefully we can continue to watch them grow in the next few weeks 鈥?and grow quickly."
  4. Cheap Ryan Tannehill Jersey

With the playoffs now out of reach Matt Haack Jersey , Miami Dolphins coach Adam Gase says injuries sabotaged the season, and quarterback Ryan Tannehill never had a chance to be fairly evaluated. And does the head coach deserve to return in 2019?"I don't need to lobby for my job," Gase said Monday. "I'm not worried about that."Gase said he hasn't had any discussions regarding his future with team owner Stephen Ross, who faces decisions regarding possible offseason organizational changes in the wake of the Dolphins' elimination from playoff contention. A dismal 17-7 loss at home Sunday to lowly Jacksonville ensured the team will again sit out the postseason.Ross has declined to say Gase will be back for a fourth season. Gase is 23-25 at Miami, including 7-8 this year after a 3-0 start. His biggest regret about 2018?"I wish everybody hadn't gotten hurt," Gase said. "That would have been nice."The Dolphins lost 12 key players to season-ending injuries, including two top offensive linemen, their best run stopper and dynamic receivers Albert Wilson and Jakeem Grant."We lost good players," Gase said. "There's a reason we started 3-0 鈥?because all those guys were there."Tannehill missed five games with an injury to his throwing shoulder. And when he played, the offense was wildly inconsistent, fueling speculation Sunday's season finale at Buffalo will be his last game with the Dolphins.Tannehill has never taken a snap in the postseason, but Gase continues to argue the seven-year veteran can be an elite quarterback with a better supporting cast."Everybody is always going to blame the quarterback," Gase said. "We just need everybody doing their job Cheap Jason Sanders Jersey , and then you can really evaluate the quarterback. We haven't had the consistency we need on offense to look at what Ryan is, really. Nobody helps him, and then he starts to try to do more than he should, and then that hurts him."Such was the case Sunday, when Tannehill's ill-advised pass under pressure in the fourth quarter was intercepted and returned for a touchdown that sealed the defeat.Tannehill said every position has contributed to the offensive inconsistencies."Start with me and just go right down the line," Tannehill said. "When you have that, it all stacks up and you're not moving the ball. We have to be cleaner, every position, starting with me."Tannehill and the other starters will assume their usual roles at Buffalo, Gase said. That's a change from last year, when the coach gave younger, inexperienced players tryouts in the meaningless finale."I'm never going to do that again," Gase said. "I'd rather go 8-8. We're going to try to win the game."Even with a victory T.J. McDonald Jersey , the Dolphins are assured of sitting out the playoffs for the 15th time in the past 17 seasons. They'll finish at .500 or worse for the ninth time in the past 10 seasons.Statistics say that by winning seven games, the Dolphins have actually overachieved. They're on the verge of several franchise records, none good. They've been outgained by 1,463 yards. The team record is 1,321 in 1967.They're allowing 392 yards per game. The team record is 383 two years ago. They've allowed 3,717 net yards passing. The team record is 4,000 in 2015.On offense, total yardage will likely be the Dolphins' lowest total since 2007. Net yards passing could be the lowest since 2003.The Dolphins rank 30th in the 32-team NFL on both offense and defense. They've never finished worse than 30th on offense or 29th on defense. But they're 7-1 in one-score games. They're 0-7 in games decided by 10 points or more, and have been outscored in those games 228-104.Those are the statistics of January spectators."We share failures, we share successes," veteran defensive end Cameron Wake said. "It's on everybody." After starting the season a red-hot 3-0, the Miami Dolphins are now 4-3 and headed to Houston to take on the Texans on Thursday Night Football. There are many factors that led to the Dolphins 1-3 skid.Poor offensive line play.Inability to convert third downs.Poor quarterback play.Non-existent pass rush.Poor play-calling.Injuries.The list goes on and on.But no matter what the issues have been, the Dolphins had a chance to separate themselves from the rest of the AFC on Sunday.Instead Cheap Ryan Tannehill Jersey , they fell flat on their face, allowing 248 yards on the ground.Snap counts from yesterday’s game surfaced, and helped paint the picture of why the run defense struggled vs Detroit.McMillan played 84% of the Dolphins defensive snaps. That is not good for a guy that has shown time and time again, his inability to shed blocks.More so, he remains a liability in coverage.I don’t think his career has been defined, because the skill-set is there for improvement. But he has struggled early on in 2018.Another factor, and probably the most important, is defensive tackle Vincent Taylor only played 23 snaps (36%) on defense. Up until this point, he has been the Dolphins best interior defensive lineman, and was greatly needed on Sunday. Offensively, Brock Osweiler continues to look the part of a NFL quarterback.Osweiler completed 22/31 passes for 239 yards and 2 touchdowns.Again, this is more than adequate play from your starting QB and had the defensive played better, we might be talking about the 5-2 Miami Dolphins.Kenyan Drake made the most of his opportunities Kiko Alonso Jersey , rushing for 72 yards and a touchdown on just 6 carries.According to the fine folks at Pro Football Focus, here were the Dolphins top offensive performers from Week 7In Albert Wilson’s absence, the Dolphins might have to call upon DeVante Parker.Parker was a healthy scratch in Week 7 and his agent took to Twitter to combat the decision made by head coach Adam Gase. The Dolphins will look to turn their season around against one of the NFL’s hottest teams on Thursday.A win vs Houston, could have playoff implications late in the season.Yes, Miami has struggled on the road. But against a banged up Texans team, the Dolphins have as good of a chance as ever to turn things around. On this week’s episode of Phinsider Radio, Matthew Cannata and I discuss the real identity of the 2018 Miami Dolphins.*Just click the play button right above this and enjoy! 5. Yanda returns to practice The Baltimore Ravens held their first of two joint practices with the Los Angeles Rams on Monday afternoon Tavon Young Jersey , and only nine players were absent. Wide receiver and return specialist Tim White missed his third consecutive practice following Baltimore’s first preseason game. White is considered to be dealing with a minor injury, and he is expected to play in Baltimore’s preseason clash with the Rams. Undrafted free agents Randin Crecelius and Jaelon Acklin missed their second-straight practice, but again, both of their injuries are considered not to be serious. There were no changes to the PUP list, which means Quincy Adeboyejo, Jaylen Hill and Bam Bradley all missed practice on Monday. They are all expected to start the season on the PUP list as well. Tyus Bowser continues to be sidelined with an undisclosed injury, while Tony Jefferson is still dealing with a ‘pull,’ according to John Harbaugh. Jefferson missed the Hall of Fame Game and now the three practices after it. Offensive lineman Maurquice Shakir also missed his third consecutive practice, despite playing in the Hall of Fame Game. He is considered to be on the roster bubble. The good news for Baltimore is that several players returned to the practice field on Monday: Marshal Yanda, Anthony Averett Terrell Suggs Jersey , Bennett Jackson and Tim Williams. Yanda is not expected to be a full participant in practice nor will he play in Baltimore’s upcoming matchup against the Rams. Nevertheless, it is still good for him to shake off the rust before the regular season.Bold Predictions: Ravens vs. Bengals Week 1 proved to be more of a primer than a challenge when Baltimore decimated the Buffalo Bills. But how will the Ravens fair in their first road test and divisional game? The Baltimore Beatdown staff forecasts how tonight’s edition of Thursday Night Football will shake out. Sage’s predictions:Only one member of the new receiver trio will score a touchdown. In a dominant performance over the Bills, John Brown, Michael Crabtree and Willie Snead IV all scored in their debuts. However, on a short week against a divisional opponent on the road, only one of the new additions will have an encore performance in the end zone. The Baltimore defense gets far less pressure on the quarterback.Compared to an inexperienced Nathan Peterman, Andy Dalton will be much better at evading sacks. Expect the Ravens to fall significantly short of their six sack total against the Bills in Week 1. Janarion Grant shakes off his first game jitters. As an undrafted rookie, Grant displayed both flashes of brilliance with a 51-yard punt return and moments of ineptitude when he fumbled. With the nerves and anticipation of his first regular season appearance behind him, Grant will show more consistency as a returner in Cincinnati if his hand injury does not keep him off the field. Vasilis’ predictions:James Hurst will allow three sacks. The Bengals stable of potent pass rushers will attack an untested Hurst. Rookie Orlando Brown Jr. will become the starting right tackle sooner rather than later.Buck Allen will eclipse 100 yards from scrimmage. After Alex Collins’ fumble and Kenneth Dixon’s injury, Allen is in line for an increased workload. Buck will make the most of the opportunity and have a big impact in the short passing game.Tyler Eifert will record 10 catches. As the Ravens stack the box to shut down Cincinnati’s rushing attack Authentic Ronnie Stanley Jersey , Eifert will serve as Andy Dalton’s outlet valve. Baltimore still does not have the personnel to effectively cover dynamic tight ends. Dustin’s predictions:Lamar Jackson scores a touchdown.Against the Bills, we saw several different packages featuring Lamar Jackson. While none were particularly successful, opposing teams now know they must game plan for him now. Jackson will once again have a role in this game, and this time he will score a rushing touchdown in the red zone. A.J. Green will be shutdown. Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green has given the Ravens fits for years. However, Green was virtually a non-factor in both games against Baltimore last season. This was in thanks to the excellent play from cornerbacks Jimmy Smith and Marlon Humphrey. Although Smith is currently suspended, Humphrey will once again step up to the task and limit Green to under 30 receiving yards.Joe Flacco will not throw an interception. Flacco started the season with a dominant performance over Buffalo last Sunday, throwing for three touchdowns and zero interceptions. Flacco looks confident and poised in the pocket right now, which will be on full display against Cincinnati. Flacco’s decision making was impeccable in Week 1 and that will continue this week. While he will not throw for three touchdowns again, Flacco will protect the ball and manage the game well.
